DatemaMedia brings latest technology to Northern Michigan

Updated: May 2, 2020

GAYLORD -- Luke Datema is all about technology and using it in away which benefits others.

He is a graduate of Gaylord St. Mary’s and Cornerstone University, where he majored in communications and minored in audio production.

Recently, Luke started his own company, DatemaMedia, to assist small businesses and non-profits with getting more exposure on the Internet.

Through his company, he designs websites and makes use of a drone for photos and video footage for use on websites.

“A lot of times, the small businessowner doesn’t have the time or knowledgefor web design. That’s where I come in,”says Luke.

Through DatemaMedia, Luke makes his time and knowledge available to others.

His interest in website technology came when his uncle, who owned a business, needed help in creating a website. At the time, Luke didn’t know much about web design. So, he went to one of those design-your-own-website pages online and taught himself how to do it.

Since then, he has designed several websites for small businesses and non-profits. The biggest feather in his cap among these is one for the local media program, “Michigan Gone Wild.”

“Their website just wasn’t supporting all they do. So, I contacted them.”

The new website has been drawing in thousands of viewers. (Their website can

be found at www.michigangonewild.com.)

Luke’s latest piece of technology is a drone. With it he has been getting video footage of Gaylord, the AuSable River and other areas.

Luke can be contacted at his website, www.datemamedia.com.
