"All aboard" at the Roscommon Model Railroad Club!

Updated: May 2, 2020

ROSCOMMON -- The Roscommon Model Railroad Club in downtown Roscommon offers visitors a chance to experience the enjoyment of model railroads for free. It is not necessary to be a member or even a Roscommon resident to visit their building.

Unlike many clubs, the Roscommon club is dedicated to all scales of model trains. One train featured inside (see first photo) is pre-World War II and made of metal.

The clubhouse features numerous displays of model trains in various settings created by members. New members are also welcome.

Conductor London Drysdale says, “Hundreds of people come through every year.”

The clubhouse is open Wednesdays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is located off of Exit 244 on

I-75, next to the railroad tracks in downtown Roscommon.
